Long walks, long talks, and holding hands

Wow... who knew that quitting smoking could be so easy. When I say I wish I had tried hypnosis earlier, I mean much earlier. I was a pack a day smoker for over 27 years. Now I can happily say, "I am a healthy non-smoker". I feel great, I have more energy and I am no longer controlled by my senseless smoking habit. I feel free! I am recommending you to every smoker I know.

Imagine being 40 and looking like a much older person because of how overweight you are. This is my story. From a young age, I was a good eater (meaning I loved to eat), then one day I decided it was time that I learned to eat healthy and in moderation, if not for my own health then to stop my daughter from following in my footsteps which she was clearly doing.

My mother says that from my days in a highchair, it was always difficult to get me to stop eating. I loved sweets and I truly over indulged. Some would blame my parents for letting me eat this way, but I’d had enough of blaming and was ready to take back control of my life.

So I finally picked up the phone and called to book my first hypnosis appointment. I spent some time asking questions before actually coming in so that I understood what to expect. I was told that it could take several sessions. Well after my first session, I already noticed a change. After my second, I was no longer craving sweets and by my third, I had developed some good habits of eating. Hypnosis changed me forever, and for that I am eternally grateful. It was so worth it!

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."

My son was 8 years old and still went to bed with diapers on because he wet the bed every night. We tried many things (including bribery) but nothing worked and we became more and more frustrated. Was he just too lazy to get up at night? Did he not sense a full bladder? We researched and looked for answers but there were none and regular physicians said to wait, there was still time.

As opportunities for sleepovers came and went, and our continued efforts failed, we decided to try hypnosis; after all it worked for me. Within less than a month (maybe 6-7 sessions) our problems were solved. He has had only 2 accidents since the day he had his first visit and that was over 2 years ago.

Trouble sleeping at night? I'm fine when my husband is home but when he's out of town and I'm left alone - I'm a mess. Growing up, I lived with my parents and then I moved out once I was married. In all, I spent a total of 4 nights alone in a house at night.

So as my husband travelled, I would call in recruits to stay with me, when that wasn't an option, I would stay up as late as I could, watch TV, drink, whatever it took to relax. Then before turning off the lights, I would lower the volume on my TV but leave it on for the light, pre-dial my phone to 911 and lay it down beside me, hug a pillow all while facing the direction of the door to my bedroom. I always managed to fall asleep but would wake frequently throughout the night having heard a noise in the house, at which point I had to start all over again, it would take me a long time to get back to sleep again.

In August that year I realized that my husband would be away for the better part of the month of September and I could not face the numerous nights of sleep deprivation and settling into the back to school routine with my kids all at once. It was too much so I decided to try hypnosis. We met four times and I had no idea if our sessions would work as my husband was home with me every night that I attended my sessions. The day finally arrived and off to Europe he flew. I couldn't believe it, I DID IT!! It was the first time I ever slept through the night with him not there beside me. The next night I did wake to use the bathroom but was able to fall asleep right away. As the nights passed, I grew more confident and by the end of his trips away that month I felt more capable than ever! What a great feeling!
